Accurate
and representative noise predictions are one of the most important
aspects of our work, particularly in the noise planning field.
This involves accurately modelling all noise sources, the noise
propagation path and any screening or insulation elements.
Predictions are carried out using the most appropriate
methodology for the situation, with calculations being carried
out according to standard procedures where required.
Particular reference is made to:
- Calculation of Road Traffic Noise (DoT Welsh Office 1988)
- Calculation of Railway Noise (DoT 1995)
- ISO 9613: Attenuation of Sound During Propagation Outdoors
- BS5228:Noise control on construction and open sites
- The Propagation of Noise from Petroleum and Petrochemical
Complexes to Neighbouring Communities (CONCAWE 1981)
